In celebration of Nurses Week, the Mississippi Nurses Foundation and the Mississippi Nurses Association hosted a Brick Garden Ceremony on May 8, 2010 at the Center for Nursing in Madison, MS.

The ceremony provided an opportunity for nurses and friends of nursing to witness 36 individuals become a part of the history of the Mary E. Stainton Center for Nursing Garden and be recognized for their contributions and dedication to the nursing profession.

Dr. Kaye Bender, President and CEO, of the Public Health Accreditation Board, Alexandria, Virginia, was the guest speaker and Mary E. Stainton provided closing remarks in the garden that bears her name for her contributions to nursing.
