The Mississippi Nurses Foundation, the American Cancer Society, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Sociey and Dillard’s hosted its 2nd annual Surviving with Style fashion show and Dancing with the Nurses event on June 11, 2010 at the Marriott hotel in Jackson, MS.

Nearly 200 nurses and cancer survivors were in attendance to celebrate life and the care that nurses provide to patients.

Maggie Wade served as the Mistress of Ceremony as we honored eight cancer survivors and ten nurses.

The Mississippi Nurses Association and the Mississippi Nurses Foundation hosted its fifth annual Nightingale Awards Black-tie gala on March 1, 2010 at the Marriott Hotel in Jackson, MS.   Nearly 600 nurses and friends of nursing attend this black-tie event which highlighted the achievements of outstanding nurses in our state who contributes significantly to the health care of our citizens and to those who supports the work of nursing in a vital way. There were 14 awards recipients and 3 inductees into the Mississippi Nurses Association Hall of Fame.
