Hand Washing Program

Mississippi Kindergarten Hand Washing Campaign

A collaboration between  the Mississippi State Department of Health, Mississippi Department of Education, Mississippi Hospital Association, Greater Jackson Chapter of the Association of Professionals in Infection Control and Mississippi Nurses Foundation.

The goals of the Hand Washing Program are as follows:

1. Teach hand washing to children in order for them to be healthier and develop a lifelong health habit.

2. Reduce the number of absentees for the school, which increases funding for the school.

3. Collect data that will show a significant reduction of absentees related to communicable illness.

If you would like information regarding the Hand Washing Program, please call (601) 898-0850.
