DRIVE WITH PRIDE!
In 2003 the Mississippi Nurses Association lobbied the Legislature and HB 940 was passed, establishing a distinctive license plate for nursing! …

The Mississippi Nurses Foundation provides scholarships and stipends to nursing students and registered nurses throughout the state of Mississippi who are pursuing degrees in nursing.

Scholarships

The Mississippi Nurses Foundation provides scholarships, stipends and grants to nursing students and registered nurses throughout the state of Mississippi who are pursuing degrees in nursing.

The Mississippi Nurses Foundation is pleased to offer grants for scholarly activities by nurses to address health care problems in Mississippi. The two areas of interest are projects addressing major health problems in MS (e.g., infant mortality, obesity, teenage pregnancies, et al) and projects addressing evidenced-based or outcomes-based nursing in MS (i.e., clinical practice, education, or administration). Depending on the application, funds may be used for implementation and/or dissemination of study outcomes.

Mississippi Nurses Foundation Research Grant

MNF will provide $2,000 in research grants this year.  The applicant is to be a Registered Nurse licensed in MS and a member of MNA. The applicant may be a graduate nursing student in a master’s or doctoral program in MS or a nurse clinician, educator, or administrator working in a health care facility in MS. Recipients are required to submit to the MNF reports of the study outcomes, expenditures of grant monies, and evaluations of the MNF Nursing Research Grant program. Awardees may be invited to present their projects at an MNA convention in October or at a joint session of the MNA/MNF Boards in December 2012.
