The Mississippi Nurses Foundation provides scholarships, stipends and grants to nursing students and registered nurses throughout the state of Mississippi who are pursuing degrees in nursing.

Mississippi Car Tag Stipend Program

$6000 in stipends are made available to nursing students and nurses pursuing an advance degree in nursing in the state of Mississippi through the Nurses Car Tag Program.

Mississippi Nurses Foundation Research Grant

MNF provides up to $2,000 in research grants. The applicant is to be a Registered Nurse licensed in MS and a member of MNA. The applicant may be a graduate nursing student in a master’s or doctoral program in MS or a nurse clinician, educator, or administrator working in a health care facility in MS. Recipients are required to submit to the MNF reports of the study outcomes, expenditures of grant monies, and evaluations of the MNF Nursing Research Grant program. Awardees may be invited to present their projects at an MNA convention in October or at a joint session of the MNA/MNF Boards in December 2014.

The Georgia Ann Benard Hall Award of Excellence

This $500 scholarship is given in honor of Georgia Ann Benard Hall to a Mississippi nursing student every year. The deadline for application and essay submission is December 15, 2016.

Nurse Oneita Dongieux Award for Excellence

This $500 scholarship is awarded to a nursing student enrolled in good academic standing at one of Mississippi schools of nursing. The Nurse Oneita Dongieux Award deadline is February 3, 2017
