Scholarships
The Mississippi Nurses Foundation provides scholarships, stipends and grants to nursing students and registered nurses throughout the state of Mississippi who are pursuing degrees in nursing.
Covid-19 Support for Nursing Student
Funding to assist nursing students (ADN, BSN, MSN, DNP, PH.D) whose education and lives have been directly impacted by Covid-19. The fund will support nursing students statewide who need financial or technology assistance to complete their degree. This support is made possible by the Car Tag Program- NURSES TOUCH LIVES.
The COVID-19 Nursing Student Support Fund will provide a one-time stipend to nursing students. Priority will be given to students within one year of graduation. With $15,000 available, 30 awards in the amount of $500 will be awarded to nursing students.
Applications must be received by July 30, 2020. Students selected for funding will be notified by August 14, 2020. – CLOSED

Mississippi Car Tag Stipend Program
$5,000 in stipends are made available to nursing students and nurses pursuing an advance degree in nursing in the state of Mississippi through the Nurses Car Tag Program.

Eileen S. and Earl C. Whittemore Advance Practiced/Nurse Practitioner Scholarship
MNF and The Gulf Coast Community Foundation will award $2,500 to an APRN student on behalf of the Eileen S. and Earl C. Whittemore, Jr Fund. The applicant must be a member of MNA and be a resident of Hancock, Harrison, Jackson, Pearl River, Stone or George County.

MNF PhD Research Grants
MNF will provide up to $10,000 in research grants. Applicants must be currently enrolled and in good standing in a PhD Nursing program in Mississippi; must be a resident of Mississippi; and must be a member of the Mississippi Nurses Association (MNA).

The Hiawatha and Eunice Northington Memorial Scholarship $1,000 Scholarship
This scholarship established by LaDonna Northington, Monica Northington and Hiawatha Northington II, in memory of their dear parents, is designed to assist Nurse or Nurse Practitioner students who will work with geriatric clients to assure excellence of medical care to these patients in their sunset years.
